Happy Strays Rescue
Happy Strays Rescue is a not for profit rescue organization that cares for stray, abandoned and orphaned cats and kittens. All of our cats are attended to medically; each is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and tested for FeLv/FIV. We then begin the search for loving and permanent homes.
FEATURED KITTEN OF THE MONTH:
Panda is a cute black and white kitten who is about four months old. She was hand-raised as a baby and is such a delight! She'd make a great pet for the purrfect household.
ADOPTION POLICY: Note: Kittens are placed with various foster families until adoption. Kittens are a lifelong committment and the decision to adopt should be a thoughtful one.
It is the policy of our organization to require a financial donation* when adopting a cat/kitten. This donation only partially covers the cost of feeding, vaccinations, spay/neuter, flea treatments and other medical attention covered by the rescue's funds.
*Please check with your accountant with regard to your adoption donation being tax deductible.
We use the following guidelines:
VIEW AVAILABLE CATS AND KITTENS!
All animals placed are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and tested. Additional care is provided as needed to ensure the health of each animal. To the best of our knowledge, all the animals we show at our adoption events are in good health. To inquire about a specific kitty or to request that a cat be brought to our Saturday adoptions at the La Canada PETCO to meet you, please email Happy Strays with your contact information and comments. We request that all adoptions be to "indoor" only homes. We have invested a great deal in our "rescues", and want you and your new kitty to have a long lasting relationship together that an indoor home can provide. We offer an exchange policy if a cat does not adjust at your home after a reasonable time period. The owner may return a cat to us for any reason.
RAVE REVIEWS FROM ADOPTING FAMILIES!
"If you want to adopt a cat or kitten- this is a great place!"
"The girl who fostered our cat was really happy to answer all of our questions and tell us as much as she could about our new cat. She even emailed us some photos she'd taken."
"Nobody rushed us to make a decision...and we never once felt pressured, which was great!"
"The personal touches...they gave us a hand-made carrier pad and a jingle-bell mouse toy. The envelope with all her paperwork was decorated with her rescue name and stickers. They also invited us back anytime if we needed help clipping her nails or just to say hi. We haven't taken them up on it, but I do think they'd be genuinely happy to see us if we did show up."
"Carmine seems very happy and he is just the sweetest cat. I cannot thank you enough for saving him
and bringing him into my life!"
